Executive Speech 237: Creation Of A Living Wage
President Cincinnati Eleden gave this speech on August 19, 2007 to the American public on primetime television.
"Good evening my fellow Americans, I come to you tonight to speak about the creation of a living wage for all Americans. The current minimum wage is woefully inadequate for today's economy. A person working a normal 40 hour workweek is living below the poverty line, unable to support himself on even the basics of life at the current rate. This is why I am calling on Congress to pass a law raising the minimum wage to $12 an hour so that all Americans who are willing to put in 40 hours can live above the poverty line."
